Flexi Rainscreen

Panels
The Sotech-Optima Flexi has been developed as a carrier and panel system allowing for secret fixing of panels in different materials, and of different thickness to a universal carrier. Equally at home as external rainscreen or used internally as walls and ceilings to public spaces. The versatility offered is an exciting new development allowing a multitude of finishes to be used in the same substructure.

Support System
A fully adjustable system of cleats and carrier profile offers hands free line and level allowing cladding zones from 130mm to 320mm. The isolation of bracket and fixing to the primary structure facilitate reduction of thermal transmittance to a negligible level, making the substructure ‘L’ compliant.

Material & Finish
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium Polyester powder coating (PPC) by approved applicator to BS6496 1984.
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium PVdf 70/30, two coat system 25 micron by approved applicator to AAMA605.
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium PVdf 70/30, three coat system 40 micron by approved applicator to AAMA605.
	•	2.0mm Aluminium Anodised, 25 micron minimum for external finish by approved applicator to BS3987 1991.
	•	4.0mm A.C.M (aluminium composite material)
	•	All processes are undertaken by quality assured applicators.
	•	2mm Precoat Aluminium PVdf or Polyester.
	•	1.2mm & 1.5mm Stainless Steel natural, pollished or patterned rigidized stainless steel.
	•	1.5mm Quartz zinc to DIN EN988
	•	2.0mm Leadclad steel natural lead finish.

Wall Fixings
All fixings are stainless steel. Site checks may be necout to primary structure.

Gaskets
These is a facility for vertical gaskets if desired.

Structural
Optima® systems are developed and produced to CWCT guidelines and have been specified on many projects. Consult with Sotech for restrictions.

Insulation/Water Penetration
Insulation placed on the primary wall can be overlaid with a breather membrain. There must be a 25mm minimum free ventilated air gap to allow evaporation of any moisture penetrating the rainscreen.

Fire Performance
System does not support combustion and all components meet the requirements laid out in BS476, part 7, Class O.

Fabrication & Fixing Fabrication of all system elements will be carried out in accordance with the fabrication instructions that each selected contractor possesses as part of a design, manufacturing and fixing guide.
