Cassette Rainscreen Cladding

Panels
The Sotech.Optima Cassette Rainscreen cladding system has been developed as a cost effective cladding solution whereby panels may be fitted to a much simplified substructive where adjustability in all planes is not required. Such carriers can be pre-formed top hats or simple isolated timber batterns.

Support System
A fully adjustable system of cleats and carrier profile offers a hands free lining and levelling facility for cladding zones from 100mm to 320mm. The isolation of the structural bracket and fixing reduces thermal transmittance to a negligible level, making the substructure 'L' compliant.

Material & Finish
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium Polyester powder coating (PPC) by approved applicator to BS6496 1984.
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium PVdf 70/30, two coat system 25 micron by approved applicator to AAMA605.
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium PVdf 70/30, three coat system 40 micron by approved applicator to AAMA605.
	•	2.0mm & 3.0mm Aluminium Anodised, 25 micron minimum for external finish by approved applicator to BS3987 1991.
	•	4.0mm A.C.M (aluminium composite material). All processes are undertaken by quality assured applicators.
	•	2mm Precoat Aluminium PVdf or Polyester 1.2mm & 1.5mm Stainless Steel natural, polished or patterned rigidised stainless steel 1.5mm Quartz zinc to DIN EN988 2.0mm Leadclad steel natural lead finish.

Wall Fixings
All fixings are stainless steel. Site checks may be necessary to establish pull out values to the primary structure.

Structural
Optima® rainscreen cladding systems are developed and produced to CWCT guidelines and have been specified on many projects. Consult with Sotech for any restrictions.

Insulation/Water Penetration
Insulation placed against the primary wall should be overlaid with a homogenous breather allowing any ingress of water to be drawn freely to the outside of the building. A vapour barrier to the primary wall may be fitted as an additional option.

Fire Performance
System does not support combustion and all components meet the requirements laid out in BS476, part 7, Class 0.

Fabrication & Fixing Fabrication of all system elements will be carried out in accordance with the fabrication instructions that each selected contractor possesses as part of a design, manufacturing and fixing guide.
