Sotech Optima cassette rainscreen system complies with CWCT and NHBC requirements
After successfully completing tests at BRE, the Sotech-Optima cassette rainscreen system is fully compliant to CWCT and NHBC technical requirements R3.
This latest compliancy relates to BRE tests covering air permeability, watertightness and resistance to wind loading.
The test methods were from the current CWCT Standard for systemised building envelopes and concluded that the test wall was:
• Sufficiently airtight to meet the requirements in the client’s specification, curtain walling standards, NHBC requirements.
• Sufficiently watertight to resist water penetration to the indoor surfaces up to and at 600 Pa test pressure. Class R7 in curtain walling terms..
• Resistant to simulated wind pressure of +/- 1500 Pa (serviceability) – the building envelope accommodated the design wind loads without reduction in the specified performance. Additionally +/- 2250 Pa (safety) – the building envelope transmitted the loads to the metal frae on the indoor face of the test wall within an adequate margin of safety.
Sotech Optima cassette rainscreen together with its primary wall system is the only one of its type fully complying with CWTC and NHBC requirements.
