The scope of Sotech Ltd's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) management system is for all activities of the Company in relation to the: Manufacture of rainscreen cladding panels, louvre units, gutter flashings, facia and soffit details and bent metal components for construction.

The QHSE system meets the requirements of the following standards:

  • ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System Requirements
  • BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Requirements

The QHSE system is independently inspected and accredited to:

  • ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Requirements

Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Policy Statement

Sotech Ltd operates from two main locations for the manufacture of metal rainscreen cladding and architectural fabrications.

QHSE is regarded as an integral part of the proper management of all the undertakings over which the company has control or influence.

Sotech Ltd is dedicated to ensuring:

  • The health, safety and welfare of all our staff and others who work under our control
  • The safety of the general public who use or have access to premises or sites under our control
  • Identification of the environmental aspects of all activities directly and indirectly associated with activities of Sotech Ltd
  • Determination of the significance of Sotech Ltd environmental aspects
  • That Objectives and Targets for QHSE improvement are set
  • Prevention of pollution
  • Waste minimisation, promotion of recycling, and reduction of energy consumption
  • We seek to influence environmental impact of our suppliers
  • Compliance with legislative, regulatory and other requirements to which we subscribe, relative to QHSE
  • That the way in which we develop our undertaking contributes to the well-being of all
  • Compliance with requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001 and the continual improvement of our QHSE management system

In order to meet these aims, Sotech Ltd shall:

  • Keep up to date with best practice in relation to QHSE and comply with all relevant legislation and authoritative guidance
  • Ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that those who undertake work on our behalf apply the highest standards of QHSE management
  • Co-operate actively with the local authority, statutory bodies and public services in the interests of public safety and the safeguarding of the environment
  • Give a high priority to quality, health, safety and the environment in all our operations
  • Develop, implement and monitor health, safety and environmental regimes appropriate to the nature and scale of the occupational health safety and environmental risks
  • Provide the necessary resources to implement our policies and keep them up to date
  • Consult with, and involve, our staff in matters affecting their health and safety and QHSE management
  • Provide the necessary equipment and training for the tasks to be performed
  • Regularly review the policy, communicate this within the organisation, ensuring understanding and make available to other interested parties
  • Review set QHSE objectives and targets for achievement
