Packaging & Logistics

All materials are securely packaged on dedicated pallets, each pallet marked with the customer, project, pallet number and delivery note number for easy identification both in the works and onsite.

A schedule of components for each pallet will be printed, laminated and attached to the pallet to show which references reside on which pallet number in relation to the whole order. The pallets will be shrink-wrapped to give additional protection to the materials during transit. Shrink-wrapping should not be construed as a primary weather defence and transport companies will ensure that tarpaulins or curtain-side vehicles are deployed to form the primary protection.

An overall consignment note covering the total materials will accompany the load.

Part load and dedicated transport services are available to give a UK and European capability, and where necessary specialised vehicles, some with their own off loading facilities, will be employed.

On Site Storage

All materials delivered onto site should be off loaded preferably in a covered area if not the pallets are to be stored away from the possibility of accidental mechanical damage by third parties and should be covered by tarpaulins ensuring adequate ventilation.

Materials are not meant to be stored on site for long term and advice should be sought if this becomes a probability.
